  • Head Post-mortem Examination Division.
  • Provide medicolegal education and consultation to county medical examiners, law enforcement, state and local officials; and maintain archive of medical examiner investigations conducted statewide.
  • Designed first State Medical Examiner facility, occupied July 2001.
  • Member of State of Tennessee Child Fatality Review Team.
  • Scientific Program Chair and Host of 38th Annual Meeting of the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME), September, 2004.
  • National Steering Committee for the Sudden Unexplained Infant Death Initiative, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2005.

  • Reorganized and operate Nashville Medical Examiner’s Office under private contract with Metro government.
  • Achieved first accreditation of office and facility by National Association of Medical Examiners, May 1998.
  • Provide forensic pathology training for medical students and residents from local medical schools. Fellowship training program in forensic pathology approved, October 2000.
  • Vice-Chair of Davidson County Child Fatality Review Team.
